In our 7th BIG year! The nationally recognized and respected PIAA Hawaii H.S. Football Combine will be held on May 31 at Saint Louis School. Please note and understand: Due to new NCAA regulations (see the PIAA news page for rule and response), Division 1/1AA college coaches may no longer attend ANY Football Combines or Camps unless they are working as a coach at the camp or it is a camp held on their own campus. (For example, they may no longer attend a NIKE Camp or Combine but they may attend and work at the Just Win Camp, or a camp held at and put on by their own University such as the upcoming University of Hawaii camps). They may no longer attend solely to evaluate players.
We are expecting a small number of Division 2 coaches and NAIA coaches.
Because of this new NCAA ruling, PIAA will be e-mailing literally every college recruiting coordinator around the country from all D1, D1AA, D2, NAIA, many D3’s and every Junior College in the country your name, contact information, your results and measurements. Our Combine will be run as it was run for the first 5 years (the 6th year was an NCAA approved Evaluation Camp which is no longer allowed). These are some of the comments we’ve received on our Combine: “Unbelievably well organized and some really great athletes”, commented Coach Ron Powlus of Notre Dame. “It is a great event that all high school athletes should attend”, Coach Ron Lee. "This thing was like a well-oiled machine. I saw everything I needed to see," Coach Chris Tormey said of the 3-hour combine in 2006. There is no other combine in the Pacific with the reputation that the PIAA combines and camps, the longest running combine for Hawaii & Samoan H.S. Athletes, has earned.
IMPORTANT PARENT INFORMATION: No chairs or spectators on the field. There are bleachers or you may stand on the track. You may bring coolers with water, soft drinks, snacks, etc. – no alcoholic beverages. Please keep small children from running on the field. This may cause injuries to the athletes.
There will be TWO professional video companies in attendance. Digital Sports Hawaii will post combine video online for you to use. Additionally Digital Sports Hawaii will have a booth set up for you to drop off your highlight or best game film to post FREE on their website www. HawaiiDigitalSports.com We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this free opportunity. PLEASE NOTE: WE SUGGEST YOU HAVE NO MUSIC ON YOUR VIDEO OR IT MUST BE ROYALTY FREE (NOT COPYWRITED) We do not want Digital Sports Hawaii to get fined for using unauthorized music! Your video can then be linked to your PIAA profile if you have one, it can be emailed out to college coaches around the country for free. The second video company is doing this exclusively for PIAA to send to college coaches.
