Being an athlete from the islands is is different than being an athlete on the mainland. The recruiting process is different; colleges can't just drive out and see you play when ever they want. No other organization anywhere can claim to have assisted in securing over $14,000,000 in scholarships and financial aid for over 1100 island athletes, and with an all volunteer staff. The small one time membership fee is working for you, not lining pockets of a for-profit recruiting service. No one knows island athletes better than PIAA and no one knows the recruiting process better, and no one else is in it for the athletes like PIAA.

Hello and welcome to the most comprehensive web site for Hawaii and American Samoa high school student athletes. If you have decided that it is important to you or your child to attend college and you have concerns about how to cover the ever rising college costs, this web site will help put you on the right track. Much of the information is relevant to athletes and non-athletes alike.
For 10 years the staff of PIAA has been assisting Island students with SAT workshops, run combines, clinics. PIAA has hosted largest National Letter of Intent signing day event in the country for seven years, covered by our wonderful and supportive local media, ESPN, Sports Center, USA Today and CBS College Sports TV. High school students, parents and coaches may visit our "student & parents" section to learn about financial and scholarship information, POST PROFILE ONLINE and more. Check out "events" and find information on local SAT prep classes, clinics, camps and combines. You will find NCAA and NAIA links as well as a listing of all NCAA Division 1, FBS, FCS; Division 2 and NAIA and Junior College programs in all sports. There is no need for you pay for a recruiting service. Here at PIAA we believe recruiting services take advantage of students and parents by insinuating promises of that "big time" scholarship that may never materialize while making a hefty profit. Remember, unless you are an elite athlete, the coaches won't come to you, you have to go find them. It is not the same as being on the mainland where multiple colleges can just drive over to see you! You just need to display your talents to the right programs! You must learn how to take the recruiting process into your own hands. PIAA can help. PIAA knows Island Athletes better than anyone else! Unlike being on the mainland, its not just posting your profile and hoping to be seen. Very few colleges outside the Pac12, WAC and MWC actually step foot in Hawaii, so PIAA helps you bring yourself to them!
